From: Linda "Eagle" Culbreth

Dear Parents,

Have you ever wondered if your daughter is going to be abused on Friday's date? Or your son? Or if your child is THE ABUSER and is abusing someone else's child?

What are the "RED FLAGS"? Do you know them?
More important… Do your kids know them?

What is a parent to do?  Can you really "lock 'em up" until they are adults?

Would you like to discover what questions they need to be asking and at the same time open the doors of communication between you and your daughter or son?

Do you know that one out of three females WILL BE OR ALREADY IS abused at the hands of their date?

You protected that newborn baby girl.  You toddler proofed your house when the little one became mobile.  You taught her how  to safely cross the street and how to look both ways.  You taught her that the stove was hot and would "burn Baby!"  What have you done to protect her now?

The danger in dating relationships is so widespread that the State of Texas (and no doubt other states) have passed laws REQUIRING a school district…here, read the TEXAS LAW, which is House Bill 121 for yourself :

H.B. No. 121 - AN ACT relating to public school policies designed to prevent dating violence.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 37, Education Code, is amended by adding Section 37.0831 to read as follows:
Sec. 37.0831.DATING VIOLENCE POLICIES. (a)Each school district shall adopt and implement a dating violence policy
to be included in the district improvement plan under Section 11.252.

(b)A dating violence policy must:

(1)include a definition of dating violence that includes the intentional use of physical, sexual, verbal, or emotional abuse by a person to harm, threaten, intimidate, or control another person in a dating relationship, as defined by Section 71.0021, Family Code; and

(2)address safety planning, enforcement of protective orders, school-based alternatives to protective orders, training for teachers and administrators, counseling for affected students, and awareness education for students and parents.
SECTION 2.This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2007.

WOW! The issue of dating violence is so widespread that a bill is required to address the issue???????  By the way, it passed and became effective May 15, 2007. What does your state have?

BUT, if you look at the actual things the school systems are doing, you will find that their policies and actions may include having a parent-teacher meeting and inviting the parents and students and have a law enforcement officer, perhaps an abused women's shelter speaker, and maybe a few more speakers speak that one night.

Unfortunately, most students do not come, most parents do not come and there are really little things TO PREVENT ABUSE - most of the efforts and resources are spent on AFTER THE FACT - You know, what to do now that you have been abused, NOT on what to do to keep you from being abused in the first place!

In the meantime, your daughter has a date Friday.  The ugly truth of the matter is that she has a ONE out of THREE chance of being verbally abused, emotionally abused, sexually abused, or physically abused.

That's right, YOUR daughter!

IF you are concerned about your child in any of these areas, then this may be the most important message you read today.

HERE's WHY:

The finishing touches have just gone into an amazing new digital book and audio home study course for parents and teens called DATE A HERO, NOT A ZERO™ with The S.A.L.T. Workshop.  It covers virtually everything you need to know about empowering your teen and actually opening the doors of communication from beginning to end.

Imagine, sitting down for a just a few minutes each day, listening with your teen to a particular segment on the audio file that will empower them and protect them. And then, discussing it. Would that be nice? And can you image how great you'll feel once you know your teens have the ideas and concepts to use before Friday night?

And it's not like any other book you've ever read or listened to  on dating relationships, and on building and designing  safety in your teens' dating.

Why?

Simply, every section in the book and audio home study course is there because "you asked for it." Well, not "you" really. But from real live questions from both parents and teens. Questions from people who love their kids and fear for their safety AND questions from teens who don't want to lose the standing of not being abused.

What you don't get: a lot of fluff.  Just REAL EMPOWERERMENT that is easy for parents to use and geared to the teen's interest and needs.

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll discover in DATE A HERO, NOT A ZERO™ with The S.A.L.T. Workshop:

Part ONE: The Book itself has 96 pages is easily printed (we suggest you use a hole punch and put into a notebook or folder.)

The book has questions for the kids to ask each other and a column where it can be marked when it is answered. (Pages 9-58)

Part TWO: The rest of the book has the S.A.L.T. Workshop sections and goes with the audio files.

The teens are to answer the simple questions as they listen with you to the audio portion.  Then, you talk together ---and you don't even have to think of something to talk about.  It's all laid out for you.

  •  First up - What Do You Want in A MATE? (page 62)
  •  How do the actions of yesterday relate to today and tomorrow? (pages 63 - 66)
  •  Would ya' rather have a "dump" or a mansion? (pages 67- 68)
  •  Then, there's "The Saga of Humpty Dumpty." (pages 69 - 74) The words of the Wise Ol' Owl are found on page 74 and in the audio file.
  •  To continue with the "WHY", you and your teen are introduced to Tynesha Stewart and how she tragically lost her life at the hands of….(page 75)
  • Listen to Tynesha's mother as she speaks…(on the audio portion)
  •  RED FLAG time with a red pen! As you and your teen listen to the audio, your teen will be instructed ever so often to mark a little red flag by certain questions. Can you imagine the communication door opening power of those moments with your teen as you talk about those guided questions?
  •  Love never abuses because love is kind. (pages 76 - 77)
  •  Real love suffers long… (but, not abuse!) ( page 78)
  •  Envy…. (pages 79 - 80)
  •  What's the difference between the good kind of pride and the bad kind? And what does the banty rooster and the alligator have to say about it? (pages 80 - 82)
  • Good Behavior/Bad Behavior and:
          1. Psychological and Emotional Abuse (page 83)

          2. Verbal abuse (page 83)

          3. Destruction of Personal Property (page 84)

          4. Threats, Anger, & Intimidation (pages 84 - 85)

          5. Jealously, Isolations, Possessiveness and Restriction of ...  (page 85)

          6. Abuse of Male Privilege (page 85)

          7. SEXUAL ABUSE (page 85 - 86)

          8. Physical Abuse (Page 86)

  •  Selfishness? You "betcha'!" (Pages 87 - 88)
  • So what does being easily provoked have to do with dating violence? It's there in the audio file and on page 89)
  • Then a session about thinking evil and doing wrong and…(page 90)
  •  Love has hopes and dreams…(pages 90 - 91)
  •  Now, what do YOU want in a mate?   Do you think your teens will change some of their original answers? (page 92)
The principles are sealed with an "OUT" for your teen as you enter into a simple, but ancient SALT COVENANT. (Page 93)

Answer cheat sheet and not just the odd numbers like in the math books, but all of the answers…(page 94)

And that's just a fraction of topics covered in the DATE A HERO, NOT A ZERO™ with The S.A.L.T. Workshop.  The book contains even more topics...

So, how much better would you feel knowing that your teen knows all the answers to these questions and more?  Wouldn't your teen have a much better chance of NOT being a victim of dating violence?

And that's why you should own this home study course for parents and teens on dating violence today (in fact, you can be reading it and listening with your teen in as little as 5 minutes from now…)

All you need is a credit card, no special internet accounts or anything like that. And it's totally secure. (Your credit card data is passed directly to the bank and no one but the bank has access to your sensitive information.)

What's a resource like this worth?

To have someone do all the planning and research for you to use with your teen would normally cost hundreds of dollars. To go to a live seminar and workshop for you and your teen would include travel expenses (more than likely airfare and taxis), hotel expenses for a weekend, and the actual seminar (which could run up to a couple of thousand dollars per family) plus it may not line up with your busy schedule and your teen's busy schedule. Then, what do you do with the younger kids and the cat and dog while you are gone?

Everything is laid out in PLAIN English in this home study course for parents and teens on Dating Violence.  Which means it's super easy to read, listen to, and understand.  And it's logically laid out.

Sure, you can get a few fact sheets here and there that are free, but do they address PREVENTION (not likely) or do they address what you do after abuse has happened? And, you won't find the audio seminar that takes you literally by the hand….

The complete home study course, DATE A HERO, NOT A ZERO™ with The S.A.L.T. Workshop is a bargain at $39.95.

That's right!  For less than most tanks of gas or a nice meal out for the family, you can IMMEDIATELY have the resources you need before your teen goes on the next date! Why would I make it so affordable? Simple…my costs to deliver it to you are so low and my desire for you to have this material is very high..

This is an electronic book (e-book) and electronic audio that can be downloaded to your computer in a flash. Which means you can be actually empowering your young person in as little as 5 minutes from now. Isn't that sweet?

So I figure I'll be able to offer this fantastic resource of information to more folks. As a matter of fact, I'm going to give you a bonus.  You will have a special report: Dating Violence - Tips On How To Talk With Your Teen which contains …oh, it's just easier to give you the Table of Contents for the Special Report:
